The BMW 530d is a central model in the new G30 5-series range. Though its Automatic Transmission is boon and blessing for BMW 530d, sometimes it offers some problem and it fails to shift automatically or it shifts erratically i.e. sometimes works and sometime resits to perform its function.
640d (post 2015) and 540i sound much better that either 520d or 530d. 530d is nose heavy whilst 520d is lighter. Spec for spec 520d would corner better than 530d, but 530d is surely faster. Im pretty sure thats the synthetic ASD (Active Sound Design) youre hearing - its a bit marmite but many love the piped-in engine sound.
Too many miles for me regardless of price. When you get to 80-100k miles, you need to start replacing stuff. Control arms, bushings, etc. There will also be the usual BMW failures like coolant system failure and Guibo cracking. The money you save from the high miles will drain your pocket dry.
